1. You confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and risen Savior.
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

2. You confessed your sins to Jesus Christ. This you did with all your heart.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

3. You received Jesus Christ into your heart.
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).

All of this you did on the authority of God's Word, the Bible. You did these things because you took God at His Word!
